Who are the Premier League new boys from Huddersfield?

At the end of every Premier League season, one of the things that intensifies the most is the relegation battle. Three teams go down to the second division(The Championship) from England’s top tier, whilst three teams are promoted from the second division to the Premier League.
This season, it wasn’t any different with three teams have being promoted: Newcastle United, Brighton and Hove Albion and Huddersfield Town.      

So who are the new boys of Huddersfield Town?

1. The Terriers

Just like every other club Huddersfield Town have their own nickname given by the fans. The Terriers, as they are known to their fans, the club plays in blue and white vertically striped shirts and white shorts.

2. First of the big feat

After winning the league titles of 1923-24, 1924-25, 1925-26, Huddersfield became the first ever English side to win three consecutive English titles. This is a record only matched by three other clubs- Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.

3. Solitary FA Cup

 The club’s solitary FA Cup triumph came back in 1922, when they beat Preston North End at Stamford Bridge to lift the oldest association football competition in the world.             

4. Klopp 2.0                                                       

Best man at Jurgen Klopp’s wedding, David Wagner was supposed to be a member of the Liverpool manager’s backroom staff. But in late 2015, Wagner was appointed as the manager of Huddersfield and the club haven’t looked back ever since. Finishing 19th the previous season, Wagner has revolutionized the club and have brought them back to the top tier of English Football, turning Huddersfield into the most exciting team in the Championship.  A lot of Klopp’s tactics have been visible in the way in which Wagner’s team plays, and it should be a very exciting affair when Huddersfield meet the 19 times champions in the league.

5. Men to watch

Huddersfield boast an exciting team and have loanees from many English clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City. Players to watch: Jonathan Hog, Tommy Smith, Elias Kachunga- who was their top scorer with 13 goals across all competitions.
